If you’re just getting into vaping, you’ll need to put some money aside for a vape device. Unlike cigarettes, vape equipment is meant to be used repeatedly; therefore, it is undesirable to have to replace it so quickly after purchase. Taking care of your new e-cigarette properly will ensure that it serves you well for many months, if not years. If you take care of your vape, you won’t have to buy as many replacement parts.
Please allow us at The Vape Life to introduce you to our golden rules of vape maintenance, designed to help you protect your investment.
Be careful with your battery.
Keeping your battery in good condition is the bedrock of vape upkeep. After all, the vape wouldn’t work without the battery powering it. Taking good care of your battery will extend its life and prevent it from giving you trouble when you need it most.
As a preventative measure, you should only charge your vape when the battery is critically low. Charging it any more often than that puts the battery at risk of being overcharged, which can cause it to malfunction. It is also not a good idea to leave your vape battery in a hot car overnight or in the direct sunlight, as this can damage the vape battery permanently.
The tank and coil need to be cleaned.
Having a regular cleaning schedule for the tank and coil is also recommended. Without properly maintaining either of these components, your vaping experience will suffer. Before using, make sure the tank and coil are completely free of any e-liquid buildup by giving them a thorough cleaning. Doing so will breathe new life into them and preserve the flavour of your vape e-liquid for a much more satisfying vaping experience. Cleaning these areas of your vape is surprisingly simple and highly recommended.
Vapers, make sure your e-liquid is always in prime condition.
In addition to keeping your vape in pristine condition, you should also avoid breaking the e-liquid container. Not only will this lead to wasteful spills of e-liquid, but it may also alter the flavour when inhaled. E-liquid bottles should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep your e-liquid bottles in a cool, dark place so the temperature doesn’t get too high or low.
Respect the vape as a whole.
Although our guidelines thus far have focused on the vape kit’s individual components, there are a few things you can do to keep the device in good working order. E-cigarettes, for instance, should be stored upright when not in use. This is crucial because e-liquid has a tendency to leak through the air holes in the tank, leading to the accumulation of gunk in those areas. You should also avoid laying your vape on its side, as this can encourage the accumulation of dust and dirt inside the mouthpiece. This can make vaping unpleasant and lead to additional costs to replace the mouthpiece. Most vapes have a flat base so they can stand on their own, so remembering to keep yours upright isn’t likely to be a problem.
