Starting in 2014, you must have an AT&T mobile insurance plan, mobile protection package, or multi-device protection package to use the insurance claim and receive a replacement phone. If you meet any of these requirements, you must file and track your claim with Asurion to get start.
Steps
- File a claim online or by phone
- Visit Phoneclaim.com/ATT to file your claim online. Alternatively, you can file and track your claim over the phone by calling Asurion on the resource provided. If you have a broken phone, AT&T recommends looking into options other than filing a claim, such as reviewing your upgrade options or using your warranty to replace the device.
- File a claim with Asurion
- Go online to Phoneclaim.com/ATT and click the File a Claim button. Complete the required paperwork, verify your identity, and provide account information and a description of what happened to your phone. If you have a successful claim, it may take a day or two to receive your new device. Also, AT&T bills the deductible to your wireless account.
- Fill out the Asurion forms
- Once you have completed the forms, submit the claim to Asurion. Claim acceptance may not occur immediately, so please allow a moment for Asurion to review your claim information.
In the event that AT&T makes this charge, the consumer has 30 calendar days from the modification of the contract, to express their rejection.
The Federal Consumer Protection Agency informs that AT&T could only modify the contract of its users with their consent, that is, it is NOT enough for the company to have sent a message to its clients’ cell phones fifteen days in advance assets the standard.

Complete the claim form and click ‘Submit Claim’.
Make your replacement claim as soon as possible. If you wait more than 60 days, you will have to pay the full price for a replacement phone. Before submitting your form, please verify that all of your information is correct. Do not file a claim unless it is truthful. If you do, you may have legal problems.
Your replacement phone can be ship in one to three days. If you file your claim on a weekend, it sent to you in two to three days. Monday-Friday claims are ship the next day. When you receive your new phone, you can start using it right away.
