Bungee jump for charity
The first extreme sport that people tend to participate in for charity is bungee jumping. If you think you’re daring enough to take a step off a bridge, platform or skyscraper then taking part in a charity bungee jump is for you.
If you’re someone who doesn’t have a huge amount of time to give to other sports that might take up a lot of time, then this extreme sport is perfect. With no long marathons, training or long treks needed you only need to spend time fundraising and taking part in the jump itself. This one small step will still make a massive difference to your chosen charity.
With a bungee jump you don’t have to do it alone, you could raise even more money by getting a group together. You can either make a day of it with your friends, or it’s easy enough just to go solo with your bungee jump. To go ahead with your bungee jump all you need to do is choose which charity you’d like to donate to whether it’s a small, big or international organisation. Then all you have to do is find which bungee jump you’d like to take on, there are many different types of jumps to take part in. There are so many adrenaline pumping bungee jumps around the UK and even abroad, think beyond just jumping off a bridge or a crane.
Here are some locations in the UK that are part of the UK bungee club, where you can take part in bungee jumping all year round:
- Manchester
- London
- Birmingham
- Yorkshire
- Belfast
- Middleborough
Skydiving for charity
If you’re an adrenaline junky then skydiving for charity is an obvious choice for you, not only is it thrilling and spine chilling but you have the chance to raise money for charity. This extreme sport is a once in a lifetime opportunity, filled with excitement. Raising money for charity is the perfect excuse to take part in a skydive.
A lot of people would never dream of skydiving out of a plane, but when it’s for a good cause, it should make the plummeting back down to earth a lot easier. This is another extreme sport like bungee jumping that does not have to take up too much of your time, one small jump and it’ll be over in a flash. With the briefing only taking around 20 mins, this is another easy sport to take part in for charity.
When is comes to doing a sponsored skydive, there two different options to choose from:
- Some charities will pay for the cost of the skydive using up to 50% of the money raised, however you will need to raise at least twice the cost of the skydive in order for this to happen.
- The second option is that you can pay for the skydive yourself, which then means the fundraising target amount is then halved.
If you’re looking to take part in a skydive for charity, there’s many different companies around the UK and abroad, to get in touch with to get booked in with.
